Janet Alred of The Three Little Wolves & The Big Bad Pig

The Three Little Wolves & the Big Bad Pig came into being in 1997–a culmination of a lifetime's passion for fabric and stitchery.

"As a self-taught artist, there are no rules to follow. This allows me to express myself with childlike enthusiasm. No patterns are used in my artwork. A snip here and a fold there turns my baskets of remnants into fabric stories. Little stitched details along with baubles and other adornments add texture plus an element of surprise.

It is a privilege to be accepted into the folkart community. My artwork can be seen at the gift shop of the American Folk Art Museum in New York. Many fine shops throughout our country also carry my line. It is my hope that some of the joy of creating these pieces will transfer to their new owners."
